Fabric-Shop.com - Sew Much More Than FabricA well-worn antique sewing machine sits in a place of honor at Fabric-Shop.com. The machine belonged to Lorna's grandmother and holds many happy memories. This is the machine that Lorna learned to sew on as a little girl. Little did she realize that all the time she spend with her grandma would pay such big dividends. From those humble beginnings Lorna started doing alterations then sewing curtains in their home while her husband, Terry, ran a very successful landscaping business.After numerous moves to accomodate their thriving business, Lorna and Terry Oaks, owners of Fabric-Shop.com have settled at 108 Lily Drive, next to Andrews Automotive, in Stanford. With over 10,000 square feet of space, Lorna and Terry offer a wide variety of products. With thousands of yards of fabric in stock, they offer upholstery service, expert advice, window treatments and blinds, custom design and installation, and bedding and shower curtains made to order. There is an abundance of wallpaper books to browse through in the store as well as sample boards of their work. While Lorna specializes in the fabric part of the business, Terry has become an exclusive distributor of Porter Paints. He has computer programs available to help visualize the way projects will look with their new paint. This is especially helpful when painting homes.
