Inc, Brake Parts Inc, has become one of th ebest corporate citizens Stanford
and Lincoln County could ask for. They are involved in every aspect of
promoting and making Lincoln County a better place to live. Along with
community-sponsored activities, they have provided not only financial support,
but have also dedicated many volunteer hours organizing, promoting, and
participating in community events. Specific, upcoming events are discussed
in monthly plant meetings and employees are encouraged to get involved.
Teams, such as Relay for Life, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, etc. are allowed
to meet during paid working hours and to conduct fund raising activities
on company time and property. These are often luncheons or raffles. Sometimes
the company contributes food for the luncheons and prizes for the raffles.
Accomplishments of community involvement teams are recognized in plant
meetings. Just a partial list of their support and involvement include:
American Cancer
Society Relay for Life in Lincoln County
Brake Parts has
been an integral part of American Cancer Society Relay for Life in Lincoln
County. They have raised the most money of any team every year for almost
as long as they have been involved with it. In the last five years their
teams have raised almost $50,000. BPI is also a corporate sponsor helping
the Relay to surpass its annual goal each year. Their team is always wholeheartedly
supported by management.

Jr. Miss Program
They have also
become one of only 2 businesses in Lincoln County to support Lincoln Co.
Jr. Miss Program at the Special Patron level. LCJM is a totally volunteer
based scholarship program for outstanding Lincoln County High School women.
Winners are judged on academics, interview,l poise, fitness and talent.
All sponsorship money goes to scholarships for the participants. With the
support of businesses such as BPI, the program is always the top in the
state in almost all categories. Without the support of BPI, this would
not be possible.

Chamber of Commerce
They are also
an integral part of the Lincoln County Chamber of Commerce. Not only does
the company have an employee on the Chamber Board, they also volunteer
employees for any task needed in the Chamber events. Their employees also
make all of the Chamber programs for the banquet, tickets, and help in
decorating and setting up for the banquet. Their employees are also encouraged
to participate and support any community functions of the Chamber.
Big Brothers
/ Big Sisters
Not only does
Brake Parts sponsor teams in the major fundraiser of BB/BS, Bowl for Kids
Sake, they also encourage their employees to become a Big Brother/Big Sister
and allow them paid time from work to be part of the mentoring program
in the Lincoln County School system.
