We only have a few booths available for the 1st Annual Lincoln Home & Garden Show so reserve your space now!  The event will take place Saturday and Sunday April 5-6, 2008 at South Lincoln Memorial Community Center (the old King's Mountain Elementary School). 

This is a good way to advertise your business. All exhibitors will be listed on the Home & Garden website until the end of the year. Website listing will include Business name, address, phone, short business description, and link to your website (if you have one).

The Lincoln County Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual banquet on Tuesday, April 22.

The Chamber is accepting nominations for the following awards to be awarded at the banquet:

•Citizen of the Year, awarded to a citizen who has heavily volunteered time and talent to benefit the community in many areas.

•Big Apple Award, awarded to an individual in the school community who has contributed time and talents to assist educators in their mission to ensure quality education in our school system.

•Farmer of the Year, an individual who has contributed to the farming community to make Lincoln County a better place to live.

•Medical Service Award, awarded to an individual in the medical community who goes above and beyond in the care of the patients under their care.

•Business Excellence Award, awarded to a business in recognition of its contributions to the community and its participation in community activities in order to make Lincoln County a better place to live and do business. This award will be given without regard to size of business or number of employees.

All nominees should be a Lincoln County resident. If you would like to nominate someone for an award, please write a brief statement of why you think this person should be an award winner. Please mail nominations to the Chamber office at 201 E. Main Street, Stanford or drop them by. All nominations will be reviewed and voted on by a committee. Deadline for nominations is April 10.
